Miami is the healthiest destination in America to visit, and sixth in the world, according to a new study.

100 cities around the world were studied, with Paris taking the global crown and Miami No1 in the U.S. The study by TravelSupermarket determined the number of parks, gyms, spas, yoga and Pilates studios, health food shops and vegan eateries in each city.

“Turquoise waters, glamorous neighborhoods and colorful art deco buildings, Miami combines the luxury of white sands and the excitement of trendsetting nightclubs, making it one of the most sought after destinations to travel to,’’ according to the report, noting that the area has “over 500 vegan option restaurants and over 300 health food shops.”

The website also considered various factors in its rankings — such as the number hours of daily sunlight and cost of a hotel stay. Leading the list overall was the City of Love (Paris), followed by Barcelona and Vancouver. The only other U.S. city in the top ten was San Francisco, coming in seventh after Miami. Lisbon, Denpasar and Buenos Aires rounded out the rest of the top ten.

Miami also ranked well in other categories including health food shops (No. 1), average sunlight hours (No. 9 or 3,154 sunlight hours per year), parks and green space (No. 11), vegan-option restaurants (No. 12), spas (No. 13) and gym and fitness centers (No. 16.)
